Looking for a healthy, practical and successful fundraiser for your school community this year? Raise money, bring your community together and boost awareness around first aid with LFA’s first aid kit fundraiser.
At LFA First Response, we’re passionate about supporting local schools so that all of our children can learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. For so many schools in Australia, fundraising plays an important role in making that possible. Whether your school community is looking to raise funds for new facilities, cultural experiences or classroom supplies – we want to support you in the process.
As of August 2022, schools, sports clubs and other community groups can partner with LFA First Response to run a first aid kit fundraiser. Make great profits with our practical, value-adding first aid kits while bringing your community together and boosting awareness around first aid.
Why run a first aid kit fundraiser in Australia?
The best fundraisers help you bring in significant profits while giving students, parents and teachers alike the opportunity to rally around a common cause. First aid kits are a great fundraising option because they’re reliable sellers and highly practical, so you know you’re giving value to your supporters.
First aid kits are a healthy alternative to chocolate or lolly based fundraisers, and a great educational item for kids as well. Whether you’re a school community or sports club, first aid kit fundraisers are a great opportunity to raise awareness around health and safety in your community.
How much money can you raise with a first aid kit fundraiser?
Our first aid kit fundraiser is scalable for both large and small fundraisers, depending on your needs and target amount. Your school or organisation will receive 20% from each kit sold. How much money you raise in total is up to you. We recommend having a target amount in mind based on your fundraising goals. That way you can plan ahead how many kits you need to sell.
What’s included in our fundraiser first aid kits?
Our fundraiser first aid kits contain all the first aid essentials, making them appropriate for a wide range of uses. Your buyers can use them as personal first aid kits for the home, travel kits for the car, first aid kit for school, sports first aid kits and more.
Each fundraiser first aid kit contains:
- Bandages – including a non-woven triangular bandage and conforming bandages for a range of first aid applications.
- Gauze swabs – suitable for a range of first aid applications, including stopping blood loss, dressing wounds and applying antiseptic.
- Wound dressings – different size dressings for treating open wounds and injuries, including island dressings, adherent and non-adherent dressings.
- Burn gel sachets – soothing gel for treating burns.
- Sodium chloride eyewash and eye pads – for managing debris in the eyes and dressing eye injuries.
- Microporous paper tape – for securing wound dressings in place.
- Antiseptic sachets, cleansing wipes and nitrile gloves – to improve hygiene and reduce the risk of cross infection when providing first aid.
- Instant ice pack – to ease pain, reduce swelling and inflammation and manage bleeding.
- Splinter probes – for removing splinters or other foreign matter stuck under the skin.
- First aid leaflet – containing helpful information about how to provide first aid and what to do in a medical emergency.
The importance of educating our children about first aid
Since the pandemic, we are all more aware than ever how important it is to feel safe and protected in our shared spaces. Boosting first aid knowledge and skills in your community goes a long way to help everyone feel safe and confident. Students, teachers and parents who are familiar with first aid skills are better able to prevent dangers, promote a safe environment and deal with emergencies with confidence.
A first aid kit fundraiser creates an ideal opportunity to strengthen students’ knowledge of how to look after each other at school, at home and in the public. It’s a great launching point for discussing with children what to do in the case of minor injuries as well as more serious situations. First aid literacy is important for all ages. Engaging with first aid kits for a fundraising program is a great way to introduce age-appropriate first aid skills for young children right through to adults.
